Your online store and the orders that come in
How your store looks, how customers order and what reaches the workshop: orders, requests and notices.
On this page
What the store is and its address
The online store is a public page for your workshop where customers see your products and can ask you for a quote. Its address comes from your workshop address, the same one BenchyOps uses to identify you.
With the store active, the sidebar shows the Your Online Store card with View and Copy: copy the link and share it wherever you want.
The store is part of the Pro plan. On the free or Workshop plan, the card invites you to activate it. See Plans, free trial and payments.
Which products are shown
The store shows the catalog products you checked as Show in shop. The ones you did not check are not shown, even if you keep using them to quote.
Each variant has its own Show in shop switch, so you can publish only some versions.
Products or variants checked as Feature in shop appear in the featured section. The store also has a search box and a category filter.
How products are loaded and published is in Product catalog and variants.
How customers order
- 1
Pick the product
They add the product and the variant they want to the cart, adjust the quantity and, if needed, add details like a color or a note.
- 2
Fill in their data
They open the cart (Your Order), enter their Name and a WhatsApp / phone and tap Send order.
- 3
The order is created
BenchyOps records the order with the real price of the product or variant and gives it a number.
- 4
It continues on WhatsApp
WhatsApp opens with the message ready (data, items and total) so the customer confirms it with the workshop.
The price the customer sees comes from the Sale price of the product or the variant, just as it is in the catalog.
The store needs a WhatsApp number
For a cart order to be sent, the store must have a WhatsApp number set. If it does not, it warns that orders cannot be received. You set it in Appearance.
What reaches you and where
A store order comes in as a quote with the Pending status and the TIENDA badge. You see it in Quotes and in the Pending column of the production board.
It is linked to the system customer Consumidor final, but it keeps the name and contact the buyer left.
If notices are on, the owner and admins get an email with the details. You turn it on and off in Settings → Workshop → Email me about new orders and quote requests.
Tip
The order is followed like any quote: you confirm it, move it to production and get paid. See The production board.
Quote requests
Besides the cart, the store has Request a quote (in the bar, the hero, the empty catalog and the footer). The customer leaves their name, a contact, what they want to print and, if they want, a 3D file.
It accepts STL, OBJ, 3MF or G-code files up to 16 MB.
The request does not become a quote on its own: it lands in Requests. From the request you tap Create quote and a new quote opens with the name and contact already filled in.
Like a cart order, it emails the workshop if notices are on.
The store appearance
In Appearance you change how the store looks. The basics come first: Logo, Brand color, font and the Workshop WhatsApp (where questions and orders arrive).
Then, if you want, you adjust:
- Hero: title, text, buttons and the card next to it.
- Sections: the order, which ones show, benefits, photo gallery, frequently asked questions and your own blocks.
- Announcement: the top bar with its messages.
- Footer: Instagram, website and the footer text.
- Style: borders, background and animations.
Changes are tried in the preview and only go live when you tap Publish.
What happens to the store if the plan expires
The store runs on the Pro plan. If the plan expires and the account drops to the free plan, the store stops showing and stops receiving orders.
Nothing is deleted: your products, orders and store setup stay saved. When you activate the plan again, the store shows up just as you left it.
The expiry and grace details are in Plans, free trial and payments.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the Pro plan to have a store?
Yes. The store, the appearance and the orders are part of the Pro plan.
Does the customer need an account to order?
No. They leave a name and a contact and that is it.
Is the order charged automatically?
No. The order reaches the workshop and is followed on WhatsApp; you record the payment. See [Payments, expenses and what you are owed](/docs/finanzas).
Where does the price the customer sees come from?
From the Sale price of the product or the variant, the same one you calculate in the catalog.
Can I hide a product without deleting it?
Yes: uncheck Show in shop and keep using it to quote.
Are quote requests and store orders the same thing?
No. A cart order is already a quote with prices; a quote request stays in Requests until you decide to quote it.
