Prices

Why did my price end in $X00?

Because BenchyOps always rounds up: in pesos, to the next multiple of $100 (in dollars, to the next dollar). It never rounds down, so it does not quote below cost. See [How the price is calculated](/docs/quoting).

Why is a 30% profit not 30% of what the customer pays?

Because profit is a markup on cost, not a percentage of the final price. Since the price also includes that profit, the real percentage of what the customer pays goes down. See [The margin and the risk margin](/docs/quoting).

Why is real cost lower than the price?

Because labor and the risk margin are not money you pay a third party: they show up inside total profit. Real cost plus total profit still adds up to the total. See [Real cost and profit](/docs/quoting).

Can I sell at cost?

Yes. Set profit and risk margin to 0 and the quote stays at cost, with no profit. See [How the price is calculated](/docs/quoting).

How long is the price I sent the customer valid for?

It depends on the **Quote validity** (15 days by default). If it already expired and has not been approved, sharing it again renews the term from today (the link itself does not expire). See [Number and validity](/docs/compartir-cotizacion).

Quotes

Why did an old quote price not change?

Because every quote stores the costs it was calculated with. If the filament went up later, it does not change on its own. To move it to today costs, tap **Use current costs** while editing it. See [Editing an old quote](/docs/quoting).

Can I edit a quote I already shared?

Yes, as long as it is not **Completed**, **Delivered** or **Shipped**. Once won it cannot be edited: first you have to move it back to an earlier status. See [Sharing the quote](/docs/compartir-cotizacion).

Why does a delivered quote not show as overdue?

Because it no longer needs to be delivered. The **Overdue** and **Due** marks only show while the order is still pending delivery. See [Overdue, due soon and the order](/docs/produccion).

Does completing a quote mark it as paid?

No. Completing deducts stock and adds the price to the customer spend, but the payment is recorded separately. See [What happens when you complete or deliver](/docs/produccion).

What happens if I cancel an order I already delivered?

The price that had been added is subtracted from the customer. The filament already deducted does not go back to stock, because the pieces were already printed. See [Reject, cancel and undo](/docs/produccion).

Stock

When is the filament deducted?

When you mark pieces as printed (the **1** button) or when you complete the quote (**Completed**, **Delivered** or **Shipped**). Quoting does not deduct stock. See [How stock is deducted](/docs/materiales-e-insumos).

Can I quote with a filament that is out of stock?

Yes. BenchyOps warns you with **Low stock**, but does not block the quote; you can restock later. See [When stock is low](/docs/materiales-e-insumos).

Why did stock go negative?

Because you printed with not enough stock and confirmed **Print anyway**. BenchyOps had warned you with the grams required and available. See [Advancing the print](/docs/produccion).

Does buying filament change the quotes I already made?

No. It changes the spool cost and the catalog prices; saved quotes keep the price they were calculated with. See [Buying filament](/docs/materiales-e-insumos).

Where do I see a spool's movements?

In the filament **History**, with the movement type: purchase, print usage or manual adjustment. See [How stock is deducted](/docs/materiales-e-insumos).

Payments

Why is the balance of a Mercado Libre sale lower than the total?

Because the buyer pays on the channel and the channel keeps the commission, installments and taxes. The debt is calculated against what the channel deposits to you, not against what the buyer paid. See [Channel sales](/docs/finanzas).

Which orders count as "you are owed"?

The ones the customer already committed to pay: **Approved**, **Completed**, **Delivered** or **Shipped**. A pending or rejected one does not count. See [What "you are owed" means](/docs/finanzas).

Can I collect on any plan?

Yes. Recording a payment is on every plan; the Finances dashboard and expenses are available from the Workshop plan. See [The month summary](/docs/finanzas).

Where do I record a sale that does not come from a quote?

In **Finances → Record income**, as a standalone sale with a description. See [Recording a payment](/docs/finanzas).

Plans

What happens if my plan expires?

The plan moves to **Past due** and you keep everything: the workshop keeps running and your data stays. You have **7 days** of grace to record the payment without losing the plan. See [Renewal, expiry and grace period](/docs/planes-y-suscripcion).

Is anything deleted if I do not renew?

No. The account drops to the free plan, but you keep customers, quotes, catalog, history and files. Only the free plan limits apply and the Pro features stop being available. See [What gets locked and what is kept](/docs/planes-y-suscripcion).

What happens to my store if the plan expires?

The store stops showing and receiving orders. Nothing is deleted: when you activate the plan again, it shows up just as you left it. See [What happens to the store if the plan expires](/docs/tienda-online).

Can I go back to the free plan whenever I want?

Yes. You move down from the plan cards, with a confirmation. See [Changing plans](/docs/planes-y-suscripcion).

Store

Do I need the Pro plan to have a store?

Yes. The store, the appearance and the orders are part of the Pro plan. See [What the store is and its address](/docs/tienda-online).

Does the customer need an account to order?

No. They leave a name and a contact and that is it. See [How customers order](/docs/tienda-online).

Is the store order charged automatically?

No. The order reaches the workshop and is followed on WhatsApp; you record the payment. See [What reaches you and where](/docs/tienda-online).

Where do I see the order that came in?

It comes in as a **Pending** quote with the **SHOP** badge, in **Quotes** and in the **Pending** column of the board. It is saved under **Consumidor final**, with the buyer contact. See [What reaches you and where](/docs/tienda-online).

Are a cart order and a quote request the same thing?

No. A cart order is already a quote with prices; a quote request stays in **Requests** until you decide to quote it. See [Quote requests](/docs/tienda-online).
